- Primary order of the Journey
- Probationary Order of the Journey 5000
- Superior Scientific Order

I rather like the idea of everyone having a single rank. When you add "higher" ranks, certain people get listened to more than others almost as a rule. It's counterproductive in this sort of community.

Also, this is a public discussion place. As such, there is no need for such a thing as private messages.

I tend to agree with Evelond, Jona. One rank for all seems a good idea. But for the "private message" I didn't see that I had my Show Email Address off in my profile. I have changed it to "on" mode now and anyone can contact me by direct email.
For the others, it's up to each of us to decide how "public" we want to be. As elsewhere on the internet, I sign with my real name and use a photo of me as my avatar. I like to do that but it's up to everyone to decide if they'd rather stay anonymous.

Also on the private message idea - some people, like me, leave their computer on and a tab in their browser open to this forum 24 hours a day. If instant messaging were on, people would be sending me messages while I was sleeping or away from my computer and it would it appear that I was rudely ignoring them.

I vote for this forum continuing to be an open place where everyone who has something to say can say it to each other.
